All About Me

Hi, I’m Jodi Cross.

When I was a young girl I went with my family on a vacation to Hawaii, after seeing the beautiful beaches and tropical landscapes I was hooked on travel. I love adventure, experiencing new cultures and roaming off the beaten path. I turned my globetrotting passion into a profession years ago when I landed a job in the hospitality industry which affords me a unique perspective on hotels, culinary trends and service standards.

For over a decade, I have been writing a monthly lifestyle column called Cross Talk. Looking back over the years, I realized a lot of my stories were about my adventures to far away place. This was the genesis for Take Off my new Travel Blog. I love to write about my experiences, make new friends and discover the beauty of nature. Travel has helped me see the world from a different perspective and captivated my soul.
